2014 Mission Statement: Life happens, life is short, BE HAPPY, and keep moving forward!
(You’ll see me using the hash tags #behappy and #keepmovingforward quite often
in order to keep this mission at the forefront of my mind throughout the year.)
I set some pretty great aspirations for 2013 but as usual I didn’t keep them on my mind very long. This year I just want to do things that make me happy and I’ve got a feeling that’ll be fairly easy!
I want to…
- Be happy with the growth of my spirit and my mind.
- Be happy with my appearance.
- Be happy with my physique.
- Be happy with the way I spend my time.
- Be happy with the life I’ve been given!
Five things! I always try to limit myself to no more than that. I feel really good about this year for some reason and I look forward to learning a lot about myself and doing things to improve the life I lead.
When I first had the thought to approach my year this way, thinking only about myself (no resolutions about being a better wife, mother, worker, homemaker, etc.), I thought it was quite selfish and felt that I couldn’t possibly set such aspirations. But deep down I know that taking the time to nurture myself will only put me in a better position to nurture others! Am I right?!? You bet I am :)!!!
Be happy,

I totally agree with you, Nicole. When we take the time to nurture ourselves, it makes us better equipped to nurture others! I love your mission statement + goals. I wish you the best with everything in 2014 🙂
What a fabulous goal for 2014! Happiness is definitely a virtue!!! I hope 2014 is your best year yet!
