I’ve always wanted to make my own home-made salad dressing! Turns out making a vinaigrette is fairly simple and it’s packed with so much more flavor than the store-bought dressings! Recently I tried my hand at a homemade Honey Apple Cider Vinaigrette.
It turned out quite lovely! So here goes…
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
Juice from 1 lemon
Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Whisk together honey, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, Dijon mustard , and dried basil.
- Slowly pour in olive oil while whisking to emulsify.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour into jar with lid and refrigerate.
Note(s)
- Makes about 1-1/2 cups or 24 one-tablespoon servings.
Lunch was so simple, but yummy and delicious! I’ll be trying to make homemade ranch dressing soon. It’s so much more involved so wish me luck!
Happy eating!
