- My relationship with God needs improvement.
- My relationship with my husband is rocky.
- Maddie’s pediatrician recommends that she have myringotomy surgery (i.e., ear tubes).
- My career is demanding (but in a good way).
- I lost the charger to my DSLR so I haven’t been able to take photos; and
- Almost all of the above makes me miss my mom…A LOT…I just want to talk to her about everything!
Appallingly, these are just the regular happenings of a person that’s living and breathing and I’m actually doing pretty well in the mist of it all!
I guess what I mean is that I don’t feel that my life is particularly hard, or at least not harder than most. Everyone has things that they’re dealing with. As I learn and grow I’m figuring out how to manage better and remain optimistic no matter what’s happening in the background, and sometimes it helps to redistribute my time and energy. Cue bloggy break!
I honestly didn’t realize that I was taking a break until about half-way in; otherwise, I may have given my readers a heads up. But once I realized it, I just let it ride and it’s been good for me. I’ll spend the next couple of posts talking through a few of the things mentioned above to give you a bit of insight into it all. I pray that you’re still there, just waiting to hear from me. I sure have missed you guys and there is much to discuss!
I wish you the best of luck with it all Nicole! I know that stuff can be so tough. Positive thoughts coming from my way! xo
Take as much time as you need Nicole! I've had to take a few blog breaks in the past, and they are necessary when your personal life needs your attention. I pray for peace while you're in the midst of if all!
Hey Nicole! It's been awhile since I've stopped by…you even have a new design(looks great)! 🙂 Anywho, I totally get it! I'm on a month long blogging break also, as are many of my blogging friends. I knew I had to do it, in order to keep my sanity, lol! I haven't done anything as far as blogging is concerned. But, I just happened to see this over on FB and thought I'd head over. I had to do it also, because life was "happening" and happening fast, lol. I think we all have to take a step back at some point in time just to focus on what's really important to us. Kudos to you and welcome back!

Totally get it. My life sounds a lot like yours at the moment. A friend sent me this prayer: "Lord, thank You for today. Thank You for fulfilling Your promises again and again. In the areas of my life where I need to see You at work, would you please reveal Yourself in a special way today?"…it's simple but it encouraged me so much and it's a prayer I need to pray daily during this season. When we seek more of Him on a daily basis, life's circumstances, whether big or small, seem so much more bearable. Stay encouraged, girl. And thanks for sharing. xo
This is awesome Angela!! I think we all could use that prayer!
You really do have a lot going on! A blogging break is a great thing…it clears your head and puts things into perspective. (glad you're back, though) 🙂
It's so good to see you back…even if it is for a short while. I love seeing all the encouragement too. It helps us to have people around us who are supportive when we need it the most. I'll be praying for all three of you and I love you all!!
I'm glad you're back!! Taking a break from blogging can be necessary sometimes, especially when you have so much going on!
xo,
Angela
Love you Nicole. Please call if you need me
Believe me, I of all people know that life can be demanding. Take as long as you need to get your life back on track. We'll still be here when you get back. Sending thoughts and prayers your way for an easier road!
