Preparing for An Upgrade Using Capital One’s Auto Navigator

Thank you Capital One for sponsoring this post.
Use Capital One‘s Auto Navigator to pre-qualify
for auto-financing prior to visiting an eligible dealer.

As Mario and I continue to talk through how big we want our family to be I can’t help but think about how many children can fit into our vehicles.  As of right now, Madison and Morgan fit comfortably in my Ford Edge and make do in Mario’s Ford Focus.  Madison is in a booster and Morgan, at almost five months old, will be in a car seat for quite some time.  No one can ride with us when we’re all together without being squeezed in.  But, even beyond that we are thinking about more kids.  Not just one but at least two (because I have this weird thing about having an even number of children — judge me not)!

Ultimately, every since we found out we were having Morgan I’ve been toying with the idea of upgrading my crossover to an SUV with a third row.  I specifically have my eyes set on either a Ford Explorer or a GMC Arcadia but we need to ensure that we’re fully prepared for what I consider to be a big purchase.  With that said, here is what needs to be done prior to upgrading:

  1. Set a budget — Determine how much you can afford and do not go over budget, even if you qualify to receive more.
  2. Save — The more money you have available for the down payment the better.
  3. Use Capital One’s Auto Navigator to see if you pre-qualify for auto financing and research vehicles.
The folks behind the site have made it easier than ever to know your options, consider a trade-in and shop at your convenience at home or via mobile.  Everything, and I mean everything, can be done online prior to visiting the dealership.  The Auto Navigator enables you to know exactly how much you’re pre-qualified for and you’re able to save a list of cars that you’d like to test drive.
What I like the most is the fact that you can use the Capital One Auto Navigator site to search over 12,000 dealerships’ inventory for the next ride that’ll meet you and your families’ needs. If you’re considering an upgrade like us, I encourage you to visit Captial One’s Auto Navigator for more information and to get started today.
It’s crazy simple and it took me no more than 15 minutes to pre-qualify for up to $35,000.  I also found and saved three vehicles of interest.
Even though we’re not quite ready to press go on a purchase today, we’re almost there and will be fully prepared when the time comes!
Is it time for you to upgrade your vehicle?  Let me know why and what sort of vehicle(s) you have in mind in the comments

I had never heard of this auto navigator tool before reading this. Having bigger car really does help make life a little easier when you have kids. Especially on those days when the rain is poring and you can hop in to the back behind the kids to buckle them in with out getting wet. This was very informative, thanks.
