Can you believe it’s November already? Daylights Saving Time is this weekend, this is the month of giving thanks and Christmas is right around the corner. Before you know it, we’ll be bringing in the new year. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
I love fall and all that it has to offer in terms of food, weather, fashion and time spent with family and friends. So, if you’re planning a get-together or two then I suggest you give this crowd-pleaser mocktail a try. Get it started just before the guests arrive to offer as soon as they step in out of the cold.
It’s super easy to make and is like a sip of fall in a glass. Plus, pumpkin spice. Yum!
Ingredients
4 Cups apple cider
2 Cinnamon sticks
Rind from 1 lemon
1 Tbsp pumpkin spice
1 Tbsp brown sugar
Directions
Warm the apple cider in a medium size non-stick pot over medium heat.
Mix in the pumpkin spice, cinnamon stick, and brown sugar and keep stirring.
Add in the lemon rind and bring mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat and let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Remove lemon rinds and pour the mixture through a strainer to remove any clumps.
Serve hot and garnish with thyme sprigs or extra cinnamon sticks.
